Amalaki Ekadashi 2023: Amalaki Ekadashi also known as Phalguna Shukla Paksha Ekadashi or Rangbhari Ekadashi falls between Holi and Maha Shiv Ratri, this year Amalaki Ekadashi will be observed on Thursday and Friday that is March 2 and March 3. Amalaki Ekadashi is observed by the Hindu devotees on the 11th day of the waxing moon during the months of February and March.

Amalaki Ekadashi 2023: Date, time and shubh muhurat
The Ekadashi shubh muhurat will start on March 2 at 6:39 am and will end on March 3 at 9:11 am. On March 4, Parana means breaking the fast will be observed from 6:44 am to 9:03 am. Devotees can end fast till 11:43 am.
Amalaki Ekadashi 2023: Ritual
As per the Hindu rituals, Ekadashi is observed through Parana, which is breaking the fast after the sunrise on the next day of the Ekadashi fast. Devotees offer water, fine canopy, sandalwood, roli, flowers, diyas and aromatic incense to the Amla tree.
It is essential to perform Parana within the tithi and it gets over before sunrise. It is considered as if the Parana is not done within Dwadashi. It is believed to be offensive. The fast is done on both days and is suggested for staunch devotees who want to seek the love and the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
People also chant the Ekadashi vrat (fast) katha around an amla tree and offer fruits and flowers. After the katha ceremony, Ekadashi aarti is performed.
