(Reuters) – WPP (LON:) named former BT chief Philip Jansen as its new chair on Tuesday, succeeding Roberto Quarta on the world’s largest promoting firm.
Jansen will be part of WPP’s board in September and change Quarta, who has been within the position since 2015, on Jan. 1.
The appointment comes at a time when WPP, which owns the Ogilvy and GroupM companies, grew to become a transparent laggard amongst world advert firms with an natural income drop within the first quarter, harm by much less spending from tech purchasers, a downturn in China and the lack of enterprise from Pfizer (NYSE:).
