Obviously, former President Donald Trump’s massive legal problems have earned him, along with some of his closest followers, a mug shot.
Some of those followers are now facing possible jail time if found guilty, a result of believing and helping Trump’s folly to overturn our democracy.
It also appears that recanting their stories would be an even larger problem because the legal system — and Trump — would have them on their radar for possible actions against them.
The proper course of action for them would be to do the right thing — taking responsibility for their deceptive words and actions in supporting and promoting Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen. Otherwise, they may be compounding their problems with costly trials and jail time, accelerating a possible downfall with Trump.
