After a cartel gunman from a small Mexican city is murdered, Sujo, his beloved four-year-old son, is left an orphan and at risk. Sujo narrowly escapes dying with the assistance of his aunt who raises him within the remoted countryside amidst hardship, poverty, and the fixed peril related along with his identification. As a younger man, Sujo makes an attempt to make his life anew, away from the violence of his hometown. Sujo is co-written and co-directed by two Mexican filmmakers Astrid Rondero (director of The Darkest Days of Us) & Fernanda Valadez (director of Figuring out Options) making their first movie collectively. It is produced by Astrid Rondero, Fernanda Valadez, Diana Arcega, Jewerl Keats Ross, Virginie Devesa, & Jean-Baptiste Bailly-Maitre.
