It looks as if abortion will be on the ballot in eight states this year, including the swing or red states of Arizona, Florida, Nevada and South Dakota.
This bodes ill for former President Donald Trump, who cannot afford to lose any of these states, especially Florida.
The Florida election results may show Republicans the folly of pushing laws that most of the voting population simply disagree with.
Trump has stated that he is proud to have been the one who was responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade — having nominated three of the Supreme Court justices who ruled on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case that upended 50 years of precedent on women’s reproductive health care rights. Will he be crowing about it next November? I doubt it.
One might also wonder why a man found guilty of sexual assault would be looked at for any aspect of women’s health.
