Dear Orlando, thanks for taking the time to join me in this interview to educate our community on Nftees.com. Can you give us a brief introduction to you? What is your story, dating back as far as you wish?

Thank you for having me. I’m born and raised in London, England. I’ve always loved business, mainly start-ups. Before nftees I co-founded a British biscuit company called Political Confectioneries. Much like the Airbnb founders, I started with sugary political treats and somehow fell into the NFT space.

I got into the NFT space because one of the nftee shareholders Geroge came up with the idea of putting NFTs on t-shirts when he was at a Crypto convention back in 2020. The reason why he didn’t start nftees back then was because there would have been around 200 customers….max! This is when CryptoPunks were going for a few hundred dollars, so believe me there weren’t many people in the space. Anyway, George and his brother Hugo approached me about working together. The idea was and still is simple, WEAR YOUR NFT — DRESS TO FLEX! The idea that really stuck with me was, someone could walk in a room with a Rolex or a Patek on their wrist, I’d think sh*t that’s a lovely watch. BUT if someone walked in with a CryptoPunk or a rare Bored Ape on their chest (connected to their wallet) I’d think DAMN! This person is wearing a seriously nice t-shirt, that’s rarer than most watches, it’s completely unique and it looks badass!

Anyway, we discussed business which is that everybody owns a t-shirt and everyone will own an NFT and so there should be a company that can print a high quality, sustainable (as much as possible) garment with their NFT on it. This led to us discussing the fact that people should be able to add text, fun stickers, a QR code connected to the garment, to then wearables and now onto AR filters.

Why did you get involved in the cryptocurrency industry, and where do you think the industry will be in 5–10 years?

I got involved like most people I believe in the space; cryptocurrency and NFTs are the next step for finance, art, music, film and fashion. One of the biggest steps for me was NFT art. I was never hugely appreciative of traditional art, but NFT art, the story behind most generative art and NFT projects resonated with me. Also the space is exciting! People want to meet up, talk about new ideas and explore the impossible!

That’s amazing. Now can you give us an introduction to Nftees.com and its history?

In a nutshell, we’re a personalised NFT clothing brand pioneering digital and wearable fashion!

nftees allow NFT owners to print their NFT on a high-quality t-shirt — directly from their digital wallet. nftees allow you to either connect the physical world with digital NFTs, or connect a physical product with your own NFT.

So how does it work? When you buy an NFT, you can mint a digital and physical (soon wearable and AR) NFT garment — also known as an nftee.

An NFT holder is able to mint a physical and digital t-shirt on nftees.com — bridging the gap between digital and physical assets. This concept allows us to do the following:

● Plug the NFT “not real” hole by bringing your NFT to life!

● Give the NFT holder a way to communicate through fashion — essentially, it allows them to flex

● Plus, there is no denying that digital fashion is better for sustainability! Anyone who owns an nftee will want to keep it in mint condition for as long as possible. Essentially what we’re achieving is allowing you, the NFT holder, to connect to the NFT project you love and value.

So how did you get started with Nftees.com and why? Early on, did you see an opportunity to fill a void in the market?

As previously mentioned WEAR YOUR NFT — DRESS TO FLEX!

Yes, this is a huge opportunity to fill a void in the market. I also know that we probably won’t be the only ones to think of this, but are the first!

What has been the biggest challenges for you and Nftees.com since you started the project?

Trust, it’s got to be trust. Unfortunately in the NFT space there are a lot of people who want to hack, scam or generally exploit people. This makes it really difficult for businesses like nftees to gain the users trust. However, through the power of the NFT community we believe that we’ll be the go to site for wearing your NFT.

Understood. Now what has been your greatest achievement thus far, and what has been the biggest failure or setback personally or in the history of the company?

That’s tricky, we’ve had a lot of successes. What stands out the most to me is, the response we get from people online and in person. I’ve met a lot of people at conferences and via Twitter who have helped me spread the word. The NFT community is the best community in the world right now.

What is the next step for Nftees.com in the next 1–2 years?

Wow, tough question! If I follow our roadmap it’s to drop all our garments, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets and things like that. We’re looking at partnering with a jewelry company as well. Then wearables, AR filters, we’d like to sponsor music videos, gaming teams and host big events for our customers. BUT, the most important thing is to listen to customer feedback, our customers and the NFT community might want other garments, cheaper shipping options, things like that.

Where can people support your business? Other than that, thank you for your time — any final words?

We’d love you to check out our website — https://nftees.com/. Also, get involved on social — we’d love you to check out our Twitter and Instagram feeds! Thank you for taking the time to speak with us.
